in the 1958 preface for a brave new world, aldous huxley paints a rather grim portrait of society.
he believes it is controlled by an impersonal force, a ruling elite, which manipulates the population using various methods.. impersonal forces over which we have almost no control seem to be pushing us all in the direction of the brave new worldian nightmare; and this impersonal pushing is being consciously accelerated by representatives of commercial and political organizations who have developed a number of new techniques for manipulating, in the interest of some minority, the thoughts and feelings of the masses.. - aldous huxley, preface to a brave new world.

with all the bad things happening now where would be the safest place to be, for myself and and famiy i would expect that would be somewhere in the far east high above the food plain, people there also have much more repect for human life and do not leave their elders to die alone without any respect and have a much nicer famiy society and seem to be much more organised as to their affairs.. .

i know that throughout history mankind has made a lot of big mistakes and caused a lot of the suffering that has befallen earth.. let us not forget about the enormous benefits science and our brilliant minds have achieved during the last few hundred years with regard to health, prosperity and welfare that has happened, amazing benefits have happened to longevity and disease prevention have occured in a realitively short period of time.
the future does look rosey.. alas, but for religions they are built on societies that always looked to external forces for our deliverence, we do not need need these ideas anymore.. countries and peoples that look to these ideas are misguided, mankind has all the answers and inteligence to sort them out on their own, no higher power required.. let's have a big round of applause for humankind, we sure don't get enough praise for the things we have achieved.. we are only a young race in the cosmos, and most things we do are for the benefit of mankind.
but it's still best if humans don't have religion!.
H i,
I'm sure someone must like humankind, come on let's get a celebration for us, the inventions and cures that benefit us all without judgemental forces with their own agenda.

evidence either for or against is more than welcome.
thank you..
Hi,
I think that with all the empirical evidence against the building of an Ark that could support all these animals and man, could have only occured by something that was once mentioned in a Simpsons episode by Lucy Lawless when answering desrepences in the Xena warrior princess episodes anything that could not be explained by the writers a wizard did it!!!!!!!

since leaving the witness mentality, i've coming onto the jw.net forum trying to work through ideas and indoctrination of the cult, she will never understand the lack of birthdays and christmas and all the brain washing that has occured during my formative years, she is a wonderful woman who did not have a religious upbringing and is totally up for new ideas, however she finds it a problem that i cannot leave it in the past.. i wish i had a reset button to immediately forget all the stupid ideas that i was brought up with, i'm glad i read crisis of conscience and after that the age of reason.. i still have programs that are running subconsciously that are affecting me, the what if's and the fact that if i rely on my on understanding prove wrong!.
any tips on how to get out of this bad jw mindset!.
